myAIcademy Review (2026): Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict

Reviewed by MakerStack · Published · 8 min read

myAIcademy is an AI training platform that builds a personalised learning path per role, refreshes lessons every 72 hours, and runs live Masterclasses. Solid pricing, real team, tiny user base. Best for: individuals paying $12.99 themselves, not teams buying blind. Price: From $12.99/mo (free plan: yes). Rating: 6.5/10.

What is myAIcademy?

myAIcademy is a subscription AI-skills platform that starts by asking what your role is, what tools you already have and what you are trying to get done, then builds a path from that rather than handing you a course catalogue. Lessons are follow-along: you work inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or a specialist tool while the lesson walks beside you, then you build something and get feedback on it. It ranked second on Product Hunt on 4 September 2026.

The company is myAIcademy LLC, registered in Delaware, founded by Malika Malik, a former Google AI engineer. The team page names four people: Malik as founder and CEO, Ashfaq Imran on design, Rahul Naik as founding engineer and Ruchit Sharma in engineering. That is a real company with real names attached, which is more than a lot of AI-education launches manage. The pitch behind it is that one-off AI training goes stale, so the platform monitors what changed across major tools, works out which lessons and roles are affected, and pushes the updates to the paths that need them.

What are myAIcademy’s key features?

Role-specific paths instead of a catalogue

The five-step loop is the product. Identify the person’s role, current skills, goals and available tools. Build a path from that. Teach through real work rather than watching. Have them produce an actual deliverable. Then review what changed and update. The difference from a course library is that nobody has to browse, which is the step where most corporate training dies.

Content refreshed every 72 hours

This is the claim the whole product rests on, and we like that it is a number. Pro and Enterprise both say “content refreshed every 72h” while the free tier gets weekly. Most competitors say “regularly updated” and leave it there. A stated cadence is checkable in a way that an adjective never is, and it is the right thing to build a subscription around given how fast the underlying tools move.

Live Masterclasses and a quarterly bootcamp

Pro includes one live Masterclass a month, picked from the catalogue, taught by instructors the site describes as coming from Google, Microsoft and similar organisations. Enterprise raises that to four a month org-wide and adds a quarterly hands-on bootcamp across the whole organisation, plus in-person intensives on request. The live component is the part a static video library cannot copy, and it is the reason the Enterprise tier exists at all.

An admin dashboard that measures adoption

Enterprise adds fluency, adoption and ROI measurement, SSO, a DPA, an SLA, a security review and a dedicated success manager. That is the standard enterprise checklist, and it is the right checklist. It is also the only place the product answers the question a Head of AI actually has, which is not “did people watch the videos” but “is anyone doing their job differently.”

How much does myAIcademy cost?

myAIcademy costs $12.99 per month for Pro, with a Free plan that stays free forever and an Enterprise tier priced on volume from 25 seats. Free gets you a personalised onboarding, one AI path preview, a weekly AI Signal digest and community access on iOS, Android and web. Pro unlocks the full path, all role-specific courses, hands-on capstones with feedback, coverage of 40-plus AI tools, the daily briefing, the 72-hour refresh, streaks and credentials, and one live Masterclass a month. Prices are shown in USD before tax.

That $12.99 is cheap for the category. Section, the closest positioned competitor, charges $41 a month billed annually for AI Academy On Demand and $82 a month for AI Academy Unlimited with live courses, against a free tier that caps you at three lesson videos a month. myAIcademy is asking under a third of Section’s entry price and including a live session in it. Whether the sessions are as good is a separate question, but the price gap is real and it is large.

The gap in the ladder is Enterprise. It is “Custom”, starting at 25 seats, and the plan most teams would actually buy is the one with no published number. Given how completely the rest of the pricing page is filled in, that omission is more noticeable than it would be on a site that hides everything.

What does the free plan actually get you?

More than most free tiers in education software, and less than the marketing implies. Free gives you the personalised onboarding, one AI path preview, the weekly AI Signal digest, community access and all three platforms. The word doing the work is “preview”. You see the shape of the path built for your role, which is the part that decides whether the product is for you, but the courses behind it sit on Pro.

Compare the plan table honestly and the split is clean. Content refresh runs weekly on Free against every 72 hours on Pro. Role-specific courses are marked “Limited” on Free and unrestricted on Pro. Capstones with feedback and the monthly live Masterclass are Pro only. The AI Signal briefing is weekly on Free and daily on Pro. So the free tier is a proper trial with no expiry rather than a crippled demo, and it does the one thing a trial should: it shows you the personalisation before it asks for a card.

The practical advice is to spend a week on Free before paying anything. The onboarding is the product’s differentiator, so if the path it builds for your role reads like a generic AI course list, the $12.99 will not fix that. If it reads specific, the upgrade is cheap enough not to agonise over.

How much traction does myAIcademy actually have?

This is where the launch and the evidence diverge, and it is the main reason for the score. The iOS app, myAIcademy: AI Fluency for All, published by myAIcademy LLC, first shipped on 2 July 2025. Fourteen months later it has zero ratings and zero reviews on the App Store. Version 1.0.60 went out on 3 September 2026, the day before the Product Hunt launch, with release notes reading “-Bugs fixed”. The Google Play listing shows 100-plus downloads.

The press badges need the same reading. The site’s “As featured in” row shows Forbes and Business Insider. The Business Insider link goes to markets.businessinsider.com, on a page tagged “PRESS RELEASE Plentisoft” that carries a takedown contact at error@releasecontact.com. That is a paid press-release syndication slot, not Business Insider editorial. The Khaleej Times and Forbes Bahrain pieces are regional coverage and read as real write-ups. One of three badges is doing work it has not earned.

The logo row underneath is worth reading carefully too, because the heading is honest about what it means: “Our users, learners and alumni are from” Deloitte, Figma, McKinsey, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Visa, LSE and Oxford. Individual learners from a company is a much weaker claim than a company as a customer, and the site says so rather than implying otherwise. Credit where it is due.

Who is myAIcademy best for?

Use myAIcademy if you are an individual who wants a structured AI path for your specific role and $12.99 a month is inside your own budget. At that price the free tier costs you nothing to evaluate, the path is visible before you pay, and the downside if the content disappoints is one month. Marketers, operators and non-engineering managers are the obvious fit, since the whole positioning is AI capability for people who are not going to read a model card.

Skip myAIcademy if you are buying for a team right now. Not because the product looks bad, but because you would be committing budget on a quote-only plan to a platform whose public traction signals are a hundred-odd Android installs and no App Store ratings after fourteen months. Ask for the Dubai AI Campus and Fortecho case studies, ask for reference customers at your size, and pilot on the free tier across five people before anyone signs anything. Also skip it if your team needs engineering-depth AI training, because this is fluency and adoption, not fine-tuning.

What are the best myAIcademy alternatives?

Section. The direct competitor for AI enablement aimed at business teams rather than engineers, with a free tier capped at three lesson videos a month, AI Academy On Demand at $41 a month billed annually, and AI Academy Unlimited at $82 a month for live courses. More than three times the price of myAIcademy Pro, with a longer track record and a leadership-focused catalogue. The right pick if you are a Head of AI who needs the brand to survive a procurement conversation.

Coursera Plus. The generalist subscription. Enormous catalogue, university and vendor certificates, and AI content among everything else. It solves a different problem: breadth and a credential with a name on it, rather than a path built around your specific role and refreshed on a cadence. Good if the certificate matters to your employer. Poor if the goal is applying a tool this week.

Your vendor’s own documentation and a Friday hour. Free, current by definition, and the honest baseline that every paid AI course is competing against. Anthropic, OpenAI and Google all publish good tutorials for their own products. What you do not get is sequencing, a reason to keep going, or anyone measuring whether the team improved. That is the gap myAIcademy is selling into, and it is a real gap.

Final verdict: is myAIcademy worth it?

At $12.99 a month for an individual, myAIcademy is easy to recommend trying. The free tier is free forever and shows you your path before asking for money, the team is named and the founder’s background checks out, the 72-hour refresh cadence is the right thing to build a subscription around, and the price sits at under a third of the nearest comparable platform while still including a live monthly session. If the content is even decent, the maths works.

For an organisation the answer is not yet, and the reasons are all evidence rather than product. Aimy, the in-product AI guide the homepage devotes a whole section to, is marked “Coming soon”. The Business Insider badge points at a paid press-release slot. The iOS app has been live since July 2025 with nothing to show in ratings, and Google Play shows 100-plus installs. A platform selling continuous AI adoption to enterprises should be able to point at more adoption than that. Pilot it on the free plan, ask for references, and revisit the Enterprise conversation in six months when there is a track record to check.

myAIcademy Pros & Cons

What We Like

  • $12.99 a month undercuts the nearest comparable platform by more than two thirds
  • Free tier is free forever and shows you your personalised path before you pay
  • Names its founder and engineering team, and the founder's background checks out
  • States its content refresh as a number, every 72 hours, instead of saying regularly updated
  • Ships on iOS, Android and web, all three verifiable in the app stores

What Could Be Better

  • The iOS app has been live since 2 July 2025 and still has zero ratings; Google Play shows 100-plus downloads
  • Aimy, the in-product AI guide the homepage gives its own section to, is marked Coming soon
  • The Business Insider press badge links to a paid press-release slot, not editorial coverage
  • Enterprise is quote-only from 25 seats, so the plan most teams would buy has no published price

myAIcademy FAQ

What is myAIcademy?

myAIcademy is an AI skills platform that builds a personalised learning path from your role, goals and the tools you already use, then teaches through follow-along lessons inside products like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. It is run by myAIcademy LLC, a Delaware company founded by former Google AI engineer Malika Malik, and it ships on iOS, Android and the web.

How much does myAIcademy cost?

Pro costs $12.99 per month, with prices shown in USD before tax. There is a Free plan that stays free forever, covering a personalised onboarding, one AI path preview, a weekly digest and community access. Enterprise is priced on volume from 25 seats and publishes no figure, so team buyers have to request a quote.

Is myAIcademy worth it?

For an individual, yes, on the strength of price alone: $12.99 a month is under a third of what Section charges, and the free tier costs nothing to evaluate. For an organisation, not yet. The public traction signals are a hundred-odd Android installs and no App Store ratings after fourteen months, so pilot on the free plan and ask for references first.

What are the best myAIcademy alternatives?

Section is the direct competitor for business-team AI enablement, at $41 a month billed annually for on-demand courses and $82 for unlimited live courses. Coursera Plus is the generalist subscription with university and vendor certificates. The free baseline is the vendors' own documentation from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, which is current by definition but gives you no sequencing or measurement.

Does myAIcademy offer a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is free forever and includes personalised onboarding, one AI path preview, a weekly AI Signal digest, community access and all three platforms. Content refresh runs weekly rather than every 72 hours, role-specific courses are limited, and capstones and live Masterclasses are Pro only. It works as a trial with no expiry.

Who is myAIcademy best for?

Individuals in non-engineering roles who want structured AI training for their specific job and can expense or absorb $12.99 a month. Marketers, operators and managers are the obvious fit. It is a poor fit for engineering-depth AI training, and team buyers should treat the Enterprise tier as a conversation to have after a free-tier pilot rather than a purchase to make now.
