Rendemo Review (2026): Pricing, Features & Honest Verdict

Reviewed by MakerStack · Published · 6 min read

Rendemo is interactive product demo software that captures your real product’s HTML instead of screenshots, so buyers click through something that behaves like the actual app. Flat pricing with unlimited creators is the hook. Best for small SaaS teams tired of per-seat demo tools. Price: free plan, then $39/mo. Rating: 8/10.

What is Rendemo?

Rendemo launched on Product Hunt on 8 August 2026 with a tagline that undersells it: “Turn any web app into a clickable demo in minutes.” What it actually does is record your product with a Chrome extension, capture the underlying HTML rather than a series of screenshots, and republish that capture as a demo a prospect can click through. The same recording exports as an MP4, or overlays your live app as a guided tour.

The company behind it is Rendemo, Inc., and the maker listed on the launch is Jacob Gargaro. It is a young product with no named customers on the site yet, which is worth knowing before you build a launch around it. But the category it entered is unusually well funded and unusually expensive, and Rendemo has picked a fight with all of it on price. That is the interesting part.

What are Rendemo’s key features?

Real-HTML capture on the free plan

Most demo tools in this category record screenshots and stitch them into a slideshow with hotspots. Rendemo captures the actual HTML of the page, so text stays selectable, layouts reflow, and the demo behaves like software rather than a photo album. Storylane, Navattic and Supademo all offer some version of this. Rendemo puts it on the $0 tier, capped at 3 published demos and 1,000 views a month. That single decision is the product’s whole positioning.

A built-in MCP server on every tier

This is the feature that makes Rendemo a maker tool rather than a sales tool. It ships an MCP server, so Claude Code, Claude.ai or any MCP-compatible agent can drive the whole pipeline: write step captions, apply your brand kit, direct the camera, lint for covered click targets and clipped crops, then publish and hand back the embed snippet. Connection is one command, npx rendemo login, which authorises by browser approval and stores the token outside your checkout. Rendemo also describes tours as code, verified in CI. If you already run agents against your codebase, your demos stop being a manual chore someone forgets to update.

One recording, two output formats

Every capture produces both an interactive demo and a product video. The interactive version suits onboarding, support articles and high-intent evaluation, where people learn by doing. The video suits launches, sales follow-up and social, where people want to understand at a glance. You are not maintaining two assets that drift apart, which is the usual failure mode when marketing owns the video and support owns the walkthrough.

Live Guide overlays on your real product

On the $129 Scale tier, Rendemo can overlay a demo on your actual running application rather than a recorded copy. That turns the same asset into in-app onboarding. It is gated two tiers up, which is a fair place to put it, but be aware the feature you might want most for activation is not on the $39 plan.

How much does Rendemo cost?

Rendemo starts free and the first paid tier is $39 a month. Free gives you real-HTML demos, 3 published demos, up to 1,000 views a month and a Rendemo badge. Pro at $39/mo removes the badge, unlocks unlimited creators and published demos, 25,000 views a month, step funnels, content-gap analytics, persona variants, branching, lead capture and a custom domain. Scale at $129/mo raises views to 150,000 and adds Live Guide, localization, roles and permissions, and priority rendering. Enterprise is a custom quote with SSO, SAML, a security review and an SLA.

The pricing is flat per workspace, not per seat. Rendemo’s own line is that a 10-person team pays $39, not $390. For comparison, Supademo publishes a free Starter tier, Scale at $38 per creator per month, and Growth at $350 a month for 5 creators with extra creators at $50/mo. Storylane’s published page carries figures including $625 and $1,500. So the flat-rate claim is real: at one creator Rendemo and Supademo are within a dollar of each other, and the gap only opens up as you add people.

Does Rendemo’s competitor comparison hold up?

Rendemo puts a comparison table on its homepage naming Storylane, Navattic, Arcade and Supademo, with a footnote saying competitor pricing was read from their own published pages on 30 July 2026. That is more honest than most vendor comparisons, and it invites checking. So we checked.

Two of the four hold up cleanly. Rendemo says Storylane’s real-HTML interactive demos start from $625/mo, and $625 does appear on Storylane’s own pricing page. Rendemo says Navattic offers 1 free demo with unlimited from $150/mo; Navattic’s prices are rendered client-side and we could not confirm the figure on its DOM either way, so treat that row as unverified rather than wrong.

The Supademo row is the one to flag. Rendemo lists Supademo at “From $450/mo” for real-HTML demos. Supademo’s own pricing page shows $0, $38 per creator per month, and $350 a month for 5 creators. There is no $450 anywhere on it. The likely explanation is that Supademo’s page defaults to annual billing and advertises up to 33% off for paying yearly, which would put the month-to-month Growth rate somewhere near $450. That reconciles arithmetically, but Rendemo does not say it is quoting month-to-month rates against its own monthly price, and a reader comparing the table to Supademo’s site will see two different numbers. It is a presentation problem, not a fabrication, and Rendemo’s underlying point about per-seat pricing survives it.

Who is Rendemo best for?

Use Rendemo if you are a small SaaS team where more than one or two people need to make demos, and the per-creator pricing at Supademo or Storylane is what has been stopping you. Use it if you already work with coding agents and want demo maintenance to happen through MCP rather than through a person remembering. Use it if you want a real-HTML demo without paying a four-figure annual commitment to find out whether your buyers even click through.

Skip Rendemo if you need a vendor with a security review, an SLA and a reference list today, because that is the Enterprise quote and this is a company with no published customers. Skip it if your demos are for a regulated buyer who will ask who Rendemo, Inc. is. And skip it if you need in-app onboarding overlays on a tight budget, because Live Guide is a $129/mo feature.

Best Rendemo alternatives

Supademo is the closest comparison and the one most teams will actually weigh. It has a free Starter tier for one creator with 5 guided demos and 50 video recordings, Scale at $38 per creator per month with AI personalisation, an MCP server, branching and variables, and Growth at $350 a month bundling 5 creators. It is a more mature product with a longer feature list. It also charges per creator, which is the exact thing Rendemo is built to undercut.

Storylane sits further upmarket. Its published pricing page includes tiers at $625 and $1,500, and it is aimed at sales organisations running demo programmes rather than a founder making three walkthroughs. If you have a demand-gen team and a demo library, Storylane is the safer institutional choice. If you are five people, the price is hard to justify.

Navattic offers a free tier and is well regarded for B2B SaaS sales demos. Its pricing renders client-side and we could not read committed figures off its page, so budget on the assumption you will need a conversation. It has the customer base and the track record Rendemo does not, and that is worth real money when your buyer asks for references.

Final verdict: Is Rendemo worth it?

Rendemo is the best-priced entry point into real-HTML interactive demos we have seen, and the free plan is not a toy. Three published demos and 1,000 views a month is enough to test whether interactive demos move your conversion rate before you commit a cent. If they do, $39 flat for unlimited creators is a very good deal against a category that mostly charges per person. The MCP server pushes it from a marketing purchase into something a technical founder can automate, which is rare in this category.

The risks are the ordinary ones for a young product. There are no named customers, no published security posture below the Enterprise quote, and one maker on the launch. The competitor table is mostly accurate but the Supademo row quotes a figure that does not appear on Supademo’s page, which is the kind of thing that erodes trust in an otherwise unusually transparent comparison. Start on the free tier, publish one demo, and see whether your buyers click through. If they do, upgrade. That is a low-risk path and Rendemo has deliberately built it for you.

Rendemo Pros & Cons

What We Like

  • Real-HTML interactive demos on the free plan, a feature rivals gate behind $450+/mo tiers or enterprise quotes
  • Flat pricing per workspace with unlimited creators, so a 10-person team pays $39/mo rather than a per-seat multiple
  • Built-in MCP server on every tier, so Claude Code or any MCP agent can caption, brand, lint, publish and return the embed snippet
  • One recording produces both a clickable demo and an exportable video, so the two assets cannot drift apart
  • Free tier needs no credit card and allows 3 published demos with 1,000 views a month, enough for a real test

What Could Be Better

  • The comparison table lists Supademo at 'From $450/mo' but Supademo's own pricing page shows $0, $38 per creator and $350 for 5 creators, with no $450 anywhere
  • No named customers, no published security posture and no case studies below the Enterprise quote
  • Live Guide, the in-app onboarding overlay, is locked to the $129/mo Scale tier
  • One maker listed on the launch, so key-person risk is real for anything you embed long term

Rendemo FAQ

What is Rendemo?

Rendemo is interactive product demo software. A Chrome extension records your real product and captures the underlying HTML rather than screenshots, so the published demo behaves like the actual app. The same recording exports as an MP4 video or overlays your live product as a guided tour.

How much does Rendemo cost?

Rendemo is free for 3 published demos and 1,000 views a month. Pro is $39 a month for unlimited creators and published demos with 25,000 views. Scale is $129 a month for 150,000 views plus Live Guide, localization and roles. Enterprise is a custom quote. Pricing is flat per workspace, not per seat.

Is Rendemo worth it?

Yes for small SaaS teams where several people make demos, because flat pricing at $39 a month undercuts per-creator rivals badly as headcount grows. It is worth less to regulated buyers who need a security review and a reference list, since Rendemo has no published customers and puts security behind the Enterprise quote.

What are the best Rendemo alternatives?

Supademo is the closest comparison, with a free Starter tier, Scale at $38 per creator per month and Growth at $350 a month for 5 creators. Storylane sits further upmarket with published tiers including $625 and $1,500. Navattic has a free tier and a strong B2B SaaS track record but renders its prices client-side.

Does Rendemo offer a free plan?

Yes. The free plan needs no credit card and includes real-HTML interactive demos, 3 published demos and up to 1,000 views a month, with a Rendemo badge on the demo. That is the same capture technology as the paid tiers, not a reduced version of it.

Who is Rendemo best for?

Small SaaS teams where more than one or two people need to create demos, and technical founders who already work with coding agents and want demo maintenance driven through MCP. Skip it if you need an SLA, a security review or vendor references today.
