We found it while looking for a Typeform alternative that didn’t charge per response, and Tally delivered exactly that.

Built by Marie and Filip Minev in Belgium, Tally launched in 2020 and has been growing steadily through word of mouth. The product is bootstrapped and profitable. What makes Tally unusual is its pricing philosophy: nearly everything is free. Unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, conditional logic, payment collection, file uploads. Tally is the best form builder for people who don’t want to pay for a form builder. The free plan is absurdly generous: unlimited everything, conditional logic, and payment collection included. The document-style editor makes form creation faster than any drag-and-drop tool we’ve tested.

The trade-off is polish. Tally forms don’t have Typeform’s visual wow factor. The analytics are basic on free. Enterprise features are limited. But for the vast majority of form needs, from lead capture to payment collection to internal surveys, Tally does the job and saves you $300+/year versus Typeform. We switched our own forms to Tally six months ago and haven’t looked back. Hard to beat free.
